Laurence Janssens
General Practitioner
Before starting my studies, I took the time to travel and discover the world and its people. Although medicine has always been a calling for me, I chose to immerse myself in different cultures and better understand humanity before pursuing my career. This experience was invaluable and taught me a great deal. Alongside my travels, I am an optimistic person, full of energy, with many hobbies. I love people, life, singing, laughing, dancing, spending time with friends, gardening, and many other things.
After this period of exploration, I decided to pursue medicine, with a one-year detour to study herbalism. Natural medicine, gentle therapies, and nutrition have always been essential resources for me, yet I feel they are not sufficiently explored within conventional medicine. My choice to specialize in general medicine became clearer throughout my studies, as I am convinced that the most significant impact is made at the frontline. This is how I contribute to society by caring for others, being present to answer their questions, and soothing them by sharing my knowledge.
I enjoy having a wide range of solutions at my disposal to accompany individuals on their journey, whether it be physical or emotional. Healing others is at the core of my personal and professional fulfillment. This calling nourishes and motivates me every day. Recently, I had the privilege of becoming a mother, a wonderful experience that deeply enriches my view of life. It drives me to move forward, grow, and discover new aspects of myself, and it is one of the many reasons I am passionate about my role as a caregiver and in life in general.
