Teleconsultation
Teleconsultation at the WWASO Medical Center : how does it work?
Teleconsultation is convenient: it allows you to quickly address many topics without having to travel. You can use a teleconsultation to review test results (blood work, basic imaging, etc.), obtain a prescription or renew a treatment, receive administrative documents, or discuss ongoing medical follow-up.
Some situations, however, require an in-person consultation. If you have acute symptoms (fever, cough, respiratory infection, dizziness, etc.) or if you are ill, an examination at the practice is essential to ensure your safety and the quality of the diagnosis. We do not issue medical certificates during a teleconsultation.
Teleconsultation is possible if:
- You are consulting your primary care physician (the one who manages your overall medical file) or another doctor in the same practice,
- or if you have already seen this doctor in an in-person appointment this year or in the previous two years.
In some cases, the doctor may suggest continuing via teleconsultation after an in-office appointment. Conversely, they may also refuse a teleconsultation if the situation warrants it, and ask you to come in person for better follow-up.
The goal remains the same: to support you with care, safety, and efficiency, by choosing the solution that is most appropriate for your situation.
